why film?
Film’s not for everyone, but if you love stuff that feels a bit nostalgic and maybe a bit imperfect, you’ll probably get why I bring it along. It’s slow, it’s considered, and it's an old school charm that's timeless and fun. I don’t use it for everything, just the quiet little bits where it feels right. And it's not about being fancy or waiting for a perfect moment, it’s about feeling something when you look back at it so I'll use shots in candid settings as well as the odd posed one too.
There’s also just something magic about not seeing it straight away. Waiting for a roll to come back and not knowing what you’re going to get. You'll receive film about a month after the wedding and it's a nice little surprise that'll land in your inbox and I already know you'll love!
black & white
I shoot with a lot of different film stocks and I can also order them in if you have a specific idea of a look you want to go for, here are some classic black and white shots that I took in the summer of 2025 on Ilford HP5 plus, which is a fairly common and reasonably priced 35mm film stock.
cost
I offer film as an add on to my digital wedding packages. Each roll of film is £50 for all 2025 weddings, this just covers the film and processing as I love it so much and just want people to experience it! 2026 and 2027 weddings the cost will be £75 to cover the cost of my admin involved.
