Who Am I?!
I don't know how anyone could fit all that they are into a page, but I'll try.
I'm an open book so if there is something you want to know, get in touch and we can talk about whether I am the photographer for you.
My journey with photography really started as a kid, I was the friend with a digital camera in the 90s with a myspace page that boasted heavy creative vibes and the teenager that would upload the Facebook albums for the nights out. My Dad was a wedding photographer and when I was 16 I was gifted my first DSLR for my birthday and would attend weddings as my Dads second. I went to college after A levels to study photography and honestly, I was talked out of a creative life and went into lettings management. It wasn't glamorous but it paid the bills.
I was given the incredible opportunity in 2021 to finally follow my passions and that's when Cat Brant Photography was born.
It would be hard to say what I didn't photograph in the first year, it was a year of YES! And I covered everything from products, e-commerce, property, branding, families, events, commercial, fashion and headshots giving me wide experience in many fields of discipline.
I feel blessed that by the age of 34 I've worked out exactly where to focus my efforts- in empowering women! So if you are looking for maternity photoshoot, a boudoir photoshoot or a portrait photographer that packs a punch, you've come to the right place!
My kids are 3 and 6 and whilst they are so much more independent than they were, they will always be my little babies and are one of the reasons I gave up corporate life to pursue creativity. In a way to set a good example and in another to allow a little more flexibility for school activities!
My husband is my rock, we aren't really the gushy romantic types so I won't say too much here other than, he's great and is very helpful with childcare so I can be flexible around my clients schedules rather than them have to work around me.
Like many artists my passion for creating images is backed up by a love of all things creative! So making sets, coming up with concepts, creating content, crafts, marketing, even building this website are all things I LOVE.
Someone recently asked me if I have to spend my evenings editing with a sad look on their face and I had to tell them, I love it!!!! Photoshop is not easy to learn but once you get to grips with it, its addictive :)
I even made the iron on vinyl for this jacket.
