Suzi & Pa- a vineyard and shaw house wedding
This was such a beautiful, intimate and sophisticated day for Sussanah and Ebrima with a gold and white colour scheme, a stunning vineyard reception and a cupcake tower in place of a wedding cake!
I got in touch with Suzi to ask a few questions about her wedding to share her story with you today.
How did you two meet?
We met at a nightclub! He had just got back from an overseas work trip and fancied a few drinks, I was out with a girlfriend… we bumped into each other at the bar, started talking and 13 years later here we are!
How did you decide on a venue?
We had our reception at The Vineyard in Newbury, and are big foodies and had dined at the restaurant before - the food was amazing! The beautiful venue was an added bonus so it was a no brainer!

What was your biggest expense?
Food & venue! But it was all worth it! We wanted our family & friends to experience what we had previously!
The best thing about your wedding?!
So many best things! Our wedding illustrator was probably my favourite part, as I’d looked so long for someone who was going to be able to create what I had always hoped for, luckily I found her from an instagram ad that came up! Experience wise, getting ready with all my girls and sharing the day with all the people I love the most!
Any advice for future brides?
Plan well but don’t let it get you down, the big day goes so fast so enjoy!
Get a really good photographer! You may not look at your wedding photos every day, but the feelings and memories you experienced when you do will come back and give you that warm fuzzy feeling again & again!
Fresh flowers! Appreciate the costs can be a little more, but the smell was amazing as we got ready and I was able to gift to my mum my bouquet after, which felt really special.
Don’t be forced into inviting long lost family & friends! Those who know you will understand and still be happy for you. Weddings are expensive!
