How do you choose which photos you want for your boudoir session? Creative, Classic, Dark, Sexy, Beautiful, a bit of all of the above? There's a lot of styles to choose from and I offer various different sets and styles as part of a session.
Here's a few different options that you might like to consider as part of your journey. It's so important you are able to accurately communicate the type of images you want to achieve from a shoot and I hope this resource will help you with those difficult decisions.
Classic boudoir
First things first, I think when most people think of boudoir they think classic laying seductively in bed, sprawled out and looking GORGEOUS. This is really popular for boudoir first timers and brides to be looking to capture their bridal underwear and give unforgettable gifts to their husbands to be.
My classic images are light bright and airy giving a beautiful soft look that flatters all women. The following images are from a recent bridal boudoir session at Warbrook House
The Boudoir Wet Set
I think 'wet set' might be one of those in industry terms so just incase this doesn't make sense, a wet set is anything that gets you wet, sticky or messy so food play, water, oil- this could be a cake smash, a shower or a flower or milk bath. A wet set is super fun and really gives you something to do to get into character.
Here are some images of a faux shower in my studio that you can choose as part of the dark side packages or I can recreate on location.
The Creative Boudoir Set
Something for the art lover, alternative type or fun lover creative sessions are all about taking completely and utterly unique images, this a great option for those looking to maybe get a discreet print for a bedroom wall that doesn't scream- this is me!
The Studio Set
Some of my clients come in for portfolio images for example dancers, actresses, models and adult professionals who need a simple set to really draw all the attention onto them, this is also fantastic for underwear merchants.
Or you might just love that Pinterest aesthetic! Here are a selection from dancer Alisons portfolio shoot.
Black and White Boudoir
I love black and white boudoir, there's something totally timeless and chic about a black and white underwear photos. I feel like every woman is Marilyn Monroe or Rita Hayworth in black and white, there's a luxury feel to these images and they work best on location in my opinion.
These images are taken with a direct flash at Warbrook House in Hook Hampshire in a stairwell with a very brave Effy!
Something else?
I JUST LOVE creating special sets for my clients based on their dreams, get in touch and talk to me about your dream shoot and together I am sure that I can provide a boudoir experience that will fulfil your dreams and leave you with an album you'll cherish forever.
Lots of Love
