I love a champagne pop!
It’s fun and creates dynamic, joy-filled photos. Plus, no two champagne pops are ever the same—so your moment will look unique every time. I often talk to my clients about 'the moment' this is when you create a moment that's so special on your wedding day that you can remember it really really well for the rest of your life and this is such a moment! Whether you choose to pop in the daytime with golden sunlight or at night for a dramatic flash-lit moment, it's guaranteed to stand out in your wedding album.
Expect your champagne pop to be a little less perfect and a little more real!

OK, so if you're here today because you’re a couple worried about nailing it, first things first—don’t overthink it. The best champagne pop shots come from having fun, not perfection. But here are a few quick tips:
I know this sounds counterintuitive, but please don't shake the bottle before popping the cork!
Press your thumb over the opening completely and shake it up,
Hold the bottle at a slight angle—aim for an upward spray
Move your thumb slightly off the edge to create a fine mist
Relax—it’s all about capturing real emotions so enjoy it!

Bonus! Anything fizzy works, so you don't need to use the expensive stuff :) SJ & Ben used Cava and it worked really well!
And you want to pop it in the daytime
Daytime champagne pops look incredible with natural light. For the best effect:
Stand with the sun behind you to backlight the spray or with the sun to the side to illuminate you and the spray! If you don't have sun, don't panic- it'll still look great in the shade!
I love to get couples spraying directly at me (the photographer!)
Night time champagne pops
Nighttime pops are all about drama. I use a flash to freeze the spray and create a stunning illuminated effect.
I'll stand you in front of fairy lights, sparklers, or neon signs for extra atmosphere.
We will try and get your guests involved—cheering and laughter make the moment even better.

When you’re choosing a wedding photographer, it’s so important to find someone who really knows how to use flash. It isn’t just about making a dark space brighter. It’s about adding atmosphere, depth, and a touch of drama, all while keeping the light soft and flattering.
This is right at the end of the bottle for SJ & Ben where we tried to get a little extra spray from down low after they started off high up!
